Anatomy of An Edit – From 1st Draft to Submission

This presentation is a 10-step road map any writer can follow from their novel’s first draft (their first or their twenty-first project!) to submission to agents or editors. It touches on "big picture" items like character arc, plot, pacing, and theme. Suggestions for critique partners/groups and free resources for writers are included. It may be helpful to writers who are active critique partners and want to take their group to the next level.

Anne Marie grew up in Aurora, Colorado. She attended the University of Colorado for a BA in English Literature, where she fell in love with folklore and myths from around the world. She adores languages, great white sharks, and the impossible. Her work usually includes two of those three things. She edits for Swoon Romance, Month9Books (YA), and Tantrum Books (MG).
